Pardon my lack of blogging of late. Between the flood, pink eye episodes, and the virus du jour...it has fallen low on the priority list. I couldn't resist grabbing a minute to tell you a cute Boo story.
Karah and Bradley have their class Christmas parties today. Since Tom is sick in bed, I told the kids that I would have to divide my time between each class and go to half of their party.
Bradley said ,"I don't want you to come to my party."
I was shocked. This boy ALWAYS wants me with him. I instantly ran every scenario through my mind...ultimately settling on the idea that he was already at the "my mom embarrasses me stage".
"You want me to stay home?", I asked.
"Yeah. I don't want you to come to my party."
"Do you think the other kids will think you are silly if your mom is there?", I asked.
"No. I just don't want you to come to my party."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
After a long pause he replied, “Yes.” He began to tear up as he said, “If you come to my party...you will have to leave early...and I don't want to be sad and cry. I just want you to stay home so I don't have to be sad when you leave me."
It about broke my heart.

There are moments in motherhood when my eyes are opened to how much I mean to these little ones....that I am MORE than their cook, nurse, chauffeur, referee and housekeeper. Moments like these make everything worth it. As a mother, I am everything to my children...sometimes I just forget.
Bradley and I devised a plan. I will go to Karah's party first...and come to the 2nd half of his...so when it is over he can leave WITH me and start our Christmas Break!
I am so excited for this Christmas Break with my babies. Many fun things are planned!
I love being a mother.
THEIR mother.
Oh my, this is what EVERY mother NEEDS to know! Love this boy, can we just arrange the marriage, cuz, I know I'll really like Beth's MIL?
