Draw Nearer

Karah and Bryce,
Friday night, as you were sleeping soundly, Bradley appeared in our bedroom - throat burning-itching all over - with a temperature of 104. I took him to the Emergency room.....it was midnight. He played his DS while he waited his turn.....and kept repeating (without looking up), "I need to go home after this...or Karah (Dawah) is going to miss me."He had his usual sense of humor....cracking all sort of jokes......including my favorite:
While playing DS - I distracted him and his "Mario" fell off the bridge into the fire.
He said, "Hey! You made me die! It's all your fault! Noooo.....actually, it's my fault........Nooooooooooo......
ACTUALLY - it's HER fault....." as he pointed to this woman:I took him to the vending machine to buy him some artificial energy
(which ended up working a little too well)
And while he was trying to decided between Twix and Snickers....he said,
"What are we going to get for my sister? Are we going to get Brycer some chippies?"

On the way to Walgreens....to pick up his prescriptions for his double ear infections and strep......he kept talking about you guys. He asked if we were going to get anything for YOU at the store.

When we arrived home - he headed straight for Karah's room - telling her of all of his adventures at the "hospital" (pronounced 'hop-it-tul").

The next day I told Bradley I would get him "Mario Kart" for his DS if he would start taking his medication without screaming -spitting it all over himself
- escaping - and hiding under his blankets.
He agreed to the deal.....but said "Get one for my sister, too."
(sorry Bryce.....he doesn't think you're ready for it yet)

I love how he loves you guys - and thinks of you, always. It brings me so much happiness - when I see how close you are to each other - the love you have for each other - and the friendship that you share. I just wanted you to know - that even when you aren't around - he is ALWAYS thinking of you - wanting you to share in the joys he may be experiencing without you.

President Spencer W. Kimball gave the following advice:

“To do the special things given to this generation, you will need to guard against selfishness. One of the tendencies most individuals have which simply must be overcome is the tendency to be selfish. All that you can do now while you are young and are more pliant to become less selfish and more selfless will be an important and lasting contribution to the quality of your life in the years, indeed in the eternity, to come. You will be a much better wife or a much better husband, a better mother or a better father, if you can curb the tendency to be selfish” (“President Kimball Speaks Out on Planning Your Life,” New Era, Sept. 1981, 51).

Carry on in your selfless love for each other.

Carry on.

I love you more than I love hand sanitizer after midnight Emergency Room visits,

The Mama Bear
