November 19th was an exciting day! It was the day of our Christmas Kick-off 2010! This year we were blessed to be able to make the trip with my parents. We started things off by attending Bradley’s debut at Rise and Shine.
Last year in Preschool…he looked like THIS during a performance:
This year…big, confident boy. What a difference a year makes.
And his teacher not just a Cutie Patootie? We love her!
Immediately afterwards, we took the kids out of school and headed up to Branson.
We met my parents for lunch at The Gardens. We were thrilled to see they had Cincinnati Chili on their menu! It was a sign that it was going to be a great trip!
I tried to focus on the food and ignore all of the silk plants…fighting the urge to see if they had been dusted lately. Ick.
Our first two nights we stayed at The Majestic …a condo on Table Rock Lake. The view from our deck was incredible.
Grandma climbed into bed with all three bear cubs and snuggled, watching The Santa Clause while the rest of us rested in our rooms.
We then headed to The Dixie Stampede for their pre-show…an Asian-Mexican juggler-Magician. Quite the combo. Popcorn and boot drinks were a must.
And then….we went into the arena for the Christmas Dinner Show.
Grandma Jean and Karah were fascinated with all the horses. It was the most beautiful Christmas program with an incredible Nativity scene. Who woulda thunk that I could cry at the Dixie Stampede?
This beautiful angel came down from the sky during the nativity scene…it was so touching and the perfect way to start off our Christmas trip.
The kids showered and bellied up to the bar for Grandma’s treat time. She made a menu for the kids to select from. I think they each ordered “one of each”.
She even had “Cuties” on the menu! As seen below….
And that was it for Day #1. Kids tucked in..snug as a bug in a rug. Wiped out from their long, exciting day…eager to see what tomorrow would hold.
We loved every second of our Christmas kickoff in Branson!!! I have tons of images in my mind and in my heart which I will never forget. The whole trip was a dream! Thanks for sharing your sweet dream with us! Love you!
