Our baby lost his first tooth.
Our last first tooth.
I'm not quite sure how to feel about this....
especially since I wasn't anticipating it until he entered Kindergarten.
All signs are pointing to the next chapter of our lives.
Though I WELCOMED saying goodbye to high chairs, car seats, strollers, diapers, and all that comes with babies and toddler hood...I will still miss little things like this.
The worst thing about this "last first" - is that I wasn't even here for it. It was December 11, 2012 and Tom was out of town. I hired a babysitter and went out with Courtney to do some last minute Christmas shopping. My phone rang when I was about a mile down the road. It was Karah. She told me that Bryce had just pulled out his first tooth on his own.
I cried. Yep. All the way to Toys R Us.
I am convinced I purchased 72% more than I would have.
Their only little once, right?
I called Tom to share the news.
His reaction was about the same as mine.
So sad to miss it.
One tiny tooth lost...adds 4 years to his age.
When I wasn't looking, my baby turned into a little boy.
I suppose I will put off my mourning until the "last-last"...when the tooth fairy will finally pass over our home in the night. Thankfully, she has several more chicklets to collect before her work is done.
Congratulations, Bryce...my big, little, boy.
I love you.
Yes...all of these pictures are necessary.
