Summer would fail to be Summer without at least one trip to the ballpark.
As we walked in...it looked like we were about to film an episode of Duck Dynasty.
Camo boys...Mama in her camo John Deere hat. Keeping it classy.
Before the game begins, the umps always stand at home plate...hands on their hips...looking all official. I assume they aren't talking baseball. I like to think they are talking about this weeks episode of The Bachelorette and placing their bets on who Desiree is going to pick.
The kids lack the interest or attention span to sit through an entire game, but oh how they love to walk around the stadium, play in the Kids Zone, watch the players, and eat treats.
It's such a great ballpark.
I tolerate the main mascot.
I find his excessive body hair, unnecessary.
I love taking pics of crowds and then playing I spy.
Let's try it with this pic...
I spy a yawn, a thumb sucker, and someone trapped in their purse.
I also spy Grandma and Grandpa...sitting with Karah and Bradley.
Unfortunately, Bradley spied us...and saw Bryce eating a treat that they didn't have.
Suddenly, they had returned to our section...begging.
*note* our kids are ALWAYS disappointed when they get the fruity Dippin Dots.
One bite and in the trash.
Chocolate, people! When will you learn???
Bryce and his Daddy...who, by the way, gets this boy whatever he asks for.
We enjoyed the "specialty" guest...
The jumbo roll of toilet paper...by Cottonelle (which happens to be our preferred brand) :)
I wanted to walk up and rub my booty on him...but Tommy T advised against it.
Killjoy.
I look forward to the game when Tampax is the sponsor.
The other mascot..."Striker". Not sure what he is supposed to be. Dinosaur?
The kids jumped on the jumpies.
We got to spin the free prize wheel. You know how I feel about spinning wheels. Bliss.
Bradley and Kinz scored bracelets and Bryce won this picture.
We went in the outfield and took some pics.
I captured this pic of one of our opponents, stretching.
I couldn't decide if he was thinking about what he was going to eat after the game...or how he was going to break it to his mom that he lost.
The numbers were few since it was a Monday night game.
We like it that way.
We went and sat with Grandma and Grandpa for a little bit.
A foul ball flew into the air behind us.
We heard a large crack and then saw medical personnel running to our section.
An old woman had hunched over when she saw the ball coming.
The "crack", I estimated to be either T-3 or T-4 on her Lumbar.
Ouch.
The kids also took a "crack" at pitching.
It was such a fun night out as a family and so fun to be able to share part of it with Grandma and Grandpa. Hoping to get back to see another game before the Season ends!
(To spin the wheel again, of course)
I love to read your observations! Cracks me up!!!
