I had grocery shopping and cleaning to do for the party we would host the next day, so I thought I would "hurry" and have the kids make their shirts before I rushed to take care of everything else.
Note to self: Hurrying is not conducive to Tie Dyeing effectively.
The kids invited over their friends that were going to celebrate the 4th with us. They thought it would be fun to all have matching shirts for the big day.
It started out great. Everyone rubberbanded their shirts.
The dye was mixed and waiting. Easy Peasy.
Things quickly turned messy.
I had equipped each child with gloves.
I thought I was prepared.
Soon, a couple of them were asking for help.
I wanted to knock these out...bag em...and rush to the store.
That was my plan.
Putting gloves on MY hands didn't occur to me.
"I'll just run inside and rinse it off", I said to myself.
Wrong.
Karah mocked me. :)
I deserved it.
Bryce didn't care about my hands.
He was more concerned with his nipple.
He accidentally got red dye on it.
He said, "Oh Gweat. Now I have a fweaky nipple!"
Nipple Schnipple, Bryce!
My hands!!!
We eventually got them all bagged and ready to go.
The kids had fun playing in the sprinkler with each other.
Soon, I headed to Fresh Market and got all sorts of dirty looks as I was reaching for produce with my nasty stained fingers.
These girls are so cute together.
Cut from the same adorable cloth.
This pic cracks me up.
Bryce taunted to girls by kinking the hose.
It's in the job description of a little brother to taunt, apparently.
Cutie Patooties
'Ten"
'Tay"
"Kinz"
"Em"
"Brycer"
"Boo"
I think there was as much excitement in the air as Christmas Eve.
A house full of pyromaniacs...
A garage full of explosives.
A fridge full of yummies...
and fun new friends to anticipate it all with.
Good times.
Great memories.
Hahahaha! I can't stop laughing about your hands and bryce's fweaky nipple! :)I bet you did get dirty looks at Fresh Market! Love all the kids pictures too! So cute!!!
