Pancakes and Parades in Paradise

On Saturday I woke up in paradise.Big fluffy bed. Cold Saturday morning.
Nestled in our little love nest...high in the tops of the trees.
There were about seven deer in the backyard looking for their breakfast as we got all of the kids ready to go to "Breakfast with Santa" at Bradley's preschool.

Excitement filled the air.
The breakfast was delicious and then Santa arrived!
The kids each Got to sit on Santa's lap....and Bryce even made it into the local newspaper!

Supahstah!

Bradley was a little nervous to tell Santa he wanted a "Nintendo DS"..

Karah kept her annual tradition of refraining from eye contact with the man in red.

The kids enjoyed being at the breakfast with their Grandma and Grandpa and closest friends.

Angel" came just to see them. She didn't even eat a pancake. She was in it for the loves.

The kids waited inside until the parade was ready to start...staying nice and warm.
Karah was dropped off at the Fairgrounds - because she was chosen to march in the parade for her school. She was SO excited. I have to admit that I hated not watching the parade with her. It's one of my favorite things....but I was so excited that she had this fun opportunity.

Bryce waited and waited for her to pass. Bryce began to look worried that she would never come. Grandma assured him she was on her way. Just a few more freak shows to endure.

Grandpa was amused with the bongo/electric guitar playing Nativity that passed by.

Joseph had some serious moves.

Bradley gazed at the creepy eagle head poking out of the sun roof of an SUV

and an intoxicated gingerbread man.

Every Christmas parade needs these.
And some of these....."the confused"...

Maybe their costumes arrived too late for the 4th of July parade.

And one last torture to endure before the arrival of Karah Kinz.....

The middle-aged "band" (self-proclaimed) who literally stopped the parade so they could "perform" (without microphones or amplifiers) for the crowd.

People eventually started clapping....just to get them to leave. And then she finally arrived!!!! Waving like a beauty queen :)

...even before his sucker was all gone.
