Brian, the beloved massage therapist from last year, came to the house and set up "shop" in one of the empty rooms. Nobody understands me when I try to describe this "entity". He is NOT just a massage therapist...he is more like a physical therapist....a healer. Holy crap. Nobody believed me last year...so this go around I was sure to sign Court and Tom up for a turn.
I can't tell yo how gratifying it was to see the others emerge from the massage room....in a drunken stupor. Not able to walk a straight line. Slurred Speech. Eyes glazed over. Comatose for the remainder of the day. They are now believers...and "Brian" has become a sacred name to them.
Oh, and I LOVE that he owns a short bus.

We decided to walk over to The Homestead pool....basking, swimming, soaking in the mineral goodness of the hot tub. Stopping to blow some dandelions....
...and inspect piles of horse poop.

Tom and I threw together a synchronized swimming routine that the other pool patrons were mesmerized with. Even I, was impressed with his pointed toe, leg descent.

The TRUE crowd pleaser was when Tom attempted to mount the above raft. He high centered himself on it...face down in the water...unable to pull himself up. He gargled and sputtered water frantically as I laughed my butt off. I soon realized I wasn't alone - and all of the onlookers were laughing, as well. I eventually had pity on him and saved him from drowning. I will never understand why he didn't just roll off. Maybe panic had set in and he couldn't think straight. Regardless, I am just thankful to have this memory burned in my mind...to cause me to burst into laughter at inappropriate times.
For the record, Tom didn't let the crowds mocking dissuade him in the least bit. He continued his attempts to mount the floatie...though he never found victory. I noticed that the longer he tried - the louder the laughter grew.
Perhaps this raft was designed for sun bathing beauties and not linebacker's with a shoulder width twice that of the raft? Hmmmm.
After we were all good and pruned...we got takeout from Spin...jammied up...tucked everyone in and watched "Valkykrie".... at least 29 minutes of it, before we fell asleep.
Goodnight Day 3!
