All Saturdays are precious…but it seems that they hold extra excitement in the Spring. Last Saturday we enjoyed a lazy morning and decided to grab lunch on The Square. We sat outside and enjoyed watching all of the people at the Farmer’s Market across the street.
The kids celebrated being able to run around the fountain again. The winter months were hard to endure with an empty fountain.
Joy abounded.
After the kids had their fill – we decided it was a great day to go bowling.
Bryce was quite pleased with his first unassisted “bowl”, ever.
Bradley was a pro. He’s six, you know.
Karah was too speedy to capture on film. She was just a blur.
We topped the afternoon with a stop for some ice-cream. Everything good ends with ice-cream.
Later that night, Tom and I were invited to attend a fundraiser for a school for Special Needs children. We were so excited for the chance to go, so we could support our sweet Nephew, David, who recently started attending the school.
They had a silent auction and a live auction. Tom and I bid on several items – but thought it would be fun to DECIDE that we were going to win the raccoon lawn ornament. It was a fierce battle between us and a couple of old women….but we declared victory and he was ours!
We also won a Rock Wall climbing party – that we plan to use for Karah’s birthday party this year.
Tom refused to let me bid on the labra-doodle puppy during the live auction. Good thing – because he sold for$3,ooo!
It was a great night with our friends, Gina and Tom.
We are so excited for the many fun weekends ahead of us this Summer. What a happy time of year!
p.s. – I know I have said it 1,000 times before…but how about one more time??? I LOVE our town!!! This is such a great place to live. Hope we get to stay forever.
