Day 5 Monday....Spa and Adrenaline Rush

(disclosure: not my foot. I tried to find a picture with the largest big toe possible, to be more realistic.)

Monday morning was lovely. Everyone got to sleep in while I got up and got ready to go to the Zermatt for a spa appointment. That morning I was having the "Heaven and Earth" treatment. This was one that I had never experienced, so I was so excited. Basically, it focuses on your legs, feet, and head. It began with me and a guy named Kent. He looks JUST like you are picturing him. He took me in the massage room and turned the shower on because there was no music playing. Both he and the lack of music were a disappointment. Online this spa looked like the best thing ever. In real life....not so much. It began with an "invigorating" (as advertised online) salt scrub on the calves and feet. Instead of relaxing, I spent most of my time twitching and trying not to laugh. It tickled in a very not fun way. It got better after that.....after a leg and foot massage, he placed warm mud and wrapped my legs in hot towels. That was great. He then did a hot oil scalp massage and then washed and conditioned my hair while I was on the table. That was cool - minus the awkward silence of water trickling in the background and his warm, unidentified food breath occasionally brushing my face. It was topped off with him unwrapping my mummy legs and spraying them down and applying lotion. It was very nice. I thought I loved it at the time.....but a couple days later my life was forever changed by a therapist named Brian. Kent was history. The Zermatt was totally ghetto after my next spa stop.
Soon after we went as a family to The Park City Mountain Resort where we had a blast! We all rode the Alpine Coaster, which is coaster that goes through about a mile of track and hair-pin curves at about 30 mph, which feels really fast in a little go-kart. Bradley is an adrenaline junkie. He loved it and was screaming for more when he got off the ride...even after the carnival incident.
Karah was not so excited. Remember, she was the SMART one at the carnival and she didn't want much to do with any "fun" ideas I had after all of that went down. Alas, she caved and decided to try it out. I was only able to tape going UP the mountain - before the ride began, because there was no way I would have held on to my camera.

It was SO fun. I highly recommend it - if you are in the area. I didn't quite get enough of an adrenaline rush - so I decided to go on the zipline. I tired to talk Tom into it - but he said he was too close to the weight limit when he was fully clothed...and he didn't think they would let him go naked. So - off I went - riding the chairlift up the mountain. I was so nervous - I thought I was going to pee. It was great!

This isn't MY video - but it is STILL the ride - if you are interested......

While the rest of the family was waiting, they enjoyed snowcones on the sidewalk...Arkansas Style.

Karah then took a shot at jumping on the trampoline - while harnessed to bungee cords. She got up there! It was so fun to watch all of the kids rocketing into the air and flipping.
Bradley got dippin dots since he wasn't big enough to try the trampoline. NO complaints there!

I took the chance to refresh myself with a lemon snowcone. The guy at the sno-hut told me that it is never smart to eat yellow snow.

Several times throughout the vacation, Bradley would bust into Tom's favorite dance...The Sprinkler. You never know when that boy is going to busta move...just like his Daddy.

We went back to the house for naps and I went to the Park City Outlets and did some school shopping for the kids. Tom fed the kids and I got takeout for the two of us to enjoy after they were asleep. Another great night with Tommy T. Wondering what was on the menu? INCREDIBLE French dip sandwiches, salad, onion rings, and cheesecake. It was vacation, you know.

So, the day started with relaxation and ended with relaxation - with a whole lotta being "juiced up" in between.
